I went through a mess in 2022

I lost my Mother to start the New Year of 2022. While completely grieving and at her house feeding her 2 cats I found a gold plastic records box. It was a Suz Oreman Estate and will planning kit ( very expensive ) not filled out or completed at all? She had no will, a reverse mortgage on her house and the big mess began!
The mortgage company wanted their money and attempted to foreclose and take her house. Bills kept coming and medical and insurance problems arose. She also had no life insurance, living trust or a plan in place for me to follow her wishes. Luckily I'm an only child and hired an attorney, opened probate and sold most of my assets to payoff her house and debts. Just over a year later I miss her everday but have some comfort in knowing I handled her affairs the way she would have wanted me to. After that process I decided to help families prepare and protect this from happening to their loved ones.
Don't let this happen to your family it's a miserable thing to go through!

Estate planning
The Wealthy all have Estate Planning
1. 60% of American adults have no basic will or Estate Plan.
This means 60% of Americans will die "intestate", meaning they have no plan for their estate. This leaves it up to the state government to choose where your assets go.
2. Probate is long and expensive!
Even with a will your estate goes through probate which freezes your assets so your heirs can't access anything until it's over. This can also cost up to 15% of your total estate value on average.
During that time bills and expenses keep coming! We also suffer!
3. Estate Taxes can take half of your Wealth away!
The IRS collected over $38 billion in estate taxes last year from individuals who didn't have a proper estate plan.

Can your family afford to go through this after a great loss? Even if you could why would you?
